Immunity is the ability of the human body to prevent invasions from pathogens such as bacteria, virus, etc... The Immune system of the body comprised of a complex network of cells, organs and proteins that provides protection to the entire body by defending against various bacteria, viruses and infections. Immunity can be of three types as Innate immunity, Passive immunity, and Active immunity. The naturally inherited general protection from birth is ‘Innate immunity’. ‘Adaptive immunity’ is developed when a person is exposed to a disease or immunized through a vaccine. The ‘Passive immunity’ is borrowed from another person and it is temporary.

A strong immune system will always keep you healthy while fighting with infections and diseases. Therefore, it is so important to realize the ways to keep up your immunity.

Immunity boosting tips

·         Get adequate sleep

Once we sleep our immune system works so busy to repair muscles and remove waste products out of cells to ensure that we are ready and fit for the next day when awake. Thus, getting adequate sleep is essential for our immunity system.

 

·         Eat Healthy diet

Your diet needs to be well balanced with fruits and vegetables, wholegrains, nuts and seeds, dairy products or fortified alternatives, and meat, fish or plant proteins.

 

·         Include immunity boosting spices

Adding spices to your diet benefits in your health.  For example, Cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, black pepper helps to improving immunity. Turmeric includes curcumin, which believed as natural anti-inflammatory and stimulate producing antioxidants. Cinnamon is also a rich source of antioxidants and black pepper is an antioxidant and an antibacterial agent. 

Ginger commonly used as a remedy for cold and cough.

 

·         Regular exercises

Human body needs regular exercises to stimulates immunity. Exercises prepare your body to face future infections in a better way while detecting it earlier.

 

·         Regular yoga meditation practices

Yoga and meditation strengthen body and mind, reduces stress, and improves better functioning of your organs while removing toxins.

 

·         Stay hydrated

Lymph, which is a fluid in your circulatory system carries important infection-fighting immune cells around your body and it is largely made up water. Hence staying hydrated is important for the body functioning.


·         Body detoxifications and ayurvedic treatments

The human body gets exposed largely to many unwanted substances and toxins accumulates within. Ayurveda is the best method to remove them with internal cleansing. This process of internal cleansing refers as the body detoxification. Eliminating toxins strengthen the immunity system and ensures optimum health.
